Donatello is dressed in mask, belt, elbow pads and knee pads, and is characteristically armed with the bo staff. Alternately portrayed as an inventor or tinkerer, Donatello is the most cerebral of the four Turtles, and his aversion to lethal violence suits him well to his signature weapon. Being among the most levelheaded of the Turtles, Donatello serves as Leonardo’s unofficial lieutenant.
