Description

Argol appears for the first time at the Sanctuary. His shield can turn any being to stone by looking at it. Three apprentice knights try to escape, but are intercepted by Aiolia. Just as Aiolia convinces them to return to training, Algol intervenes. In his opinion, the laws of Sanctuary must not be transgressed, and it is his duty to punish the fugitives. Simulating compassion at first, he turns the apprentices to stone without batting an eyelid.

He is later reunited with Shaina and Spartan. Using his telekinetic powers, Spartan forces the plane carrying Seiya, Shun and Shiryu to land on a deserted island.

Luring the Bronze Knight to look at his shield, Argol gains an easier advantage. Shiryu was about to succumb, but the three Steel Knights arrived. They fought but were defeated. It was then that Shiryu sacrificed his sight to avoid looking at Argol's shield. But Shiryu remains serene. Despite his blindness, he can see Algol thanks to Athena's cosmos. Burning his cosmos, he attacks with Dragon's Wrath. Surprised, the Knight of Perseus cannot dodge the blow. Shiryû pierces Medusa's shield and then the silver armor.
