Dragon Ball GT premiered in 1996, produced by Toei Animation as a follow-up to Dragon Ball Z. Unlike previous entries, it was not directly adapted from a manga by Akira Toriyama.
The story begins with Goku being turned back into a child and embarking on a space adventure to recover the Black Star Dragon Balls. Accompanied by Trunks and Pan, he travels across different planets.
The series introduced original elements such as the Super Saiyan 4 transformation and new villains like Baby and the Shadow Dragons.
While divisive among fans, Dragon Ball GT remains an important part of the franchise’s history and a notable experiment in expanding the Dragon Ball universe.
